History

It is believed that most of the cows naturally produced A2 beta casein protein in their milk. But, due to a mutation that occurred in Middle Eastern Europe some thousands years ago, A1 beta casein became the more predominant protein.

Aria, by using pure desi breeds like Gir, Sindhi and Sahiwal produce milk that contains A2 beta casein. Read along if you are wondering why you should drink A2 milk and not A1.

Why must you change to A2 Milk?

There is a something that we are not aware off about the milk that we are drinking. Dr. Keith Woodford, a well renowned scientist has written a book called “The Devil in the Milk” which has been an eye opener for many people around the world.

The beta casein is actually a sequence of 229 amino acids. At the number 67 in this sequence, the A2 milk has proline whereas A1 has histidine. Proline has a strong bond with a protein molecule called BCM7 and Histidine present in A1 milk does not have a strong bond and lets the BCM7 protein to enter the blood and Gastrointestinal tract of the person who drinks it.

Research has proven that BCM7 is pathologically a bad element which causes diseases like autism and schizophrenia especially in children. It can also cause diabetes and heart attacks.

So, practically, when you are drinking the A1 beta casein milk, you are letting the harmful BCM7 enter your body. This is one of the main reasons why you must make the switch to A2 Milk which does not let the BCM7 enter into your body. A2 milk not only prevents you from this disorder but also helps your digestion and is usually better for people with allergies like cough and hayfever who can’t drink normal milk.

The Farm

To produce organic milk, we needed a farm in which we could implement all the prescribed organic farming practices.

Area

Spread over a massive 180 acres in Eastern Tamilnadu in surreal conditions, our Farm is a place where our cows are nurtured and kept healthy.

Keeping the cows safe

In our experience most of the cow farms we have seen over the years have all been in terrible shape. The cows are animals that are affected on a regular basis by an array of diseases. If we don’t have a clean farm, then these chances are even magnified. That is why we employ a multitude of personnel to keep our farms clean and hygienic.

We treat our breeds in a gentle manner, care for them and we have a dedicated medical team on the site to check the health of the cows on a regular basis.

Complete restriction on usage of Chemicals or Hormones

We procure and cultivate our own fodder in our farms. This fodder is then given as food to the cows.

Unlike other farms, we do not use pesticides, insecticides or other chemicals which will compromise the organic property of the land and in turn the fodder. Everything our breeds consume comes from our own land. Therefore it is 100% organic.

Similarly, we do not force hormones on to our cows to increase milk output. This means that the cows remain healthy and you drink 100% natural milk without any chemicals.

Providing pure, desi, A2 organic and chemical-free milk is the first aim at Aria and that tradition will continue till the end of days!

Despite a large farm, we have not yet started producing A2 milk in large volumes. The reason behind this is simple – We do not want to rush up the process. We want things to move in their own pace and we do not want to get overly competitive.
